Ka (Short film, 2026)
In this short film, Victoriano Tugri chants the Ka songs of the Ngäbe people of Panama. It was filmed in Peña Blanca, a place where memory and mountain remain in dialogue.
Here, water is the protagonist. It descends from the continental divide toward the sea, carving its way through lush valleys and communities that have carried the Ka chants since time immemorial. These sacred songs, without beginning or end, belong to a cosmology in which humans and nature exist in continuous exchange. Among them is the chant to Magatdä, the mythical serpent, a primordial force tied to the origin of the universe.
